Debbie joined the DPA staff in May of 2011. Her primary focus is to cultivate relationships and bring awareness about the many works of DPA. Debbie’s work and passion has been in the nonprofit arena for over 15 years, beginning her career in healthcare. Her path has allowed her to plan and execute events throughout the United States. While working with an international development organization, she came to realize the lack of power women have in many parts of the world. It made her take notice and ensure that her own daughters are empowered, and she desires to help any woman who can’t or won’t be allowed to find her voice.
Debbie has always had a heart for animals and children. She is a catechist at St. Eugene Catholic Church, teaching first graders for the past six years, and she enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school. She is a past president of Hounds of the Heartland, which is a non-profit organization that adopts out retired racing greyhounds, and she currently fosters greyhounds. Away from work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, and is willing to pick up and go on a trip anytime, anywhere, especially New Mexico!
