Debbie joined the DPA staff in May of 2011. Her primary focus is to cultivate relationships and bring awareness about the many works of DPA. Debbie’s work and passion has been in the nonprofit arena for over 20 years, beginning her career in healthcare. Her path has allowed her to plan and execute events throughout the United States. While working with an international development organization, she came to realize the lack of power women have in many parts of the world. It made her take notice and ensure that her own daughters are empowered, and she desires to help any woman who can’t or won’t be allowed to find her voice.
Debbie enjoys volunteering in her off time. She is a catechist at St. Eugene Catholic Church, teaching eighth grade girls for the past fifteen years. Her passion for retired greyhounds comes out in several ways, she fosters, and is an adoption coordinator for a local non-profit group, Hounds of the Heartland. She also does pet therapy with her retired racer, Gatsby at OU Medical Center.
Away from work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, and is willing to pick up and go on a trip anytime, anywhere, especially New Mexico!
