How do we sufficiently express the significant level of gratitude we feel for you being so selfless and willing to bless a couple you know little about in such a short letter? Also, how do we adequately provide you with enough information about ourselves that you feel comfortable bestowing upon us the very great responsibility of raising this child the best we can? After much thought, we felt it to be most appropriate by starting with letting you know that we pray for you and this child on a daily basis; and we thank you—from the bottom of our hearts—for taking the time to read our very sincere letter.
We (Brian & Che’) met on an online dating website in 2012. Who would have thought? We never expected to find our soulmate this way! In 2014, we were married; and 2020 will make six wonderful years of marriage. We love spending time together! Brian is analytical but fun humored, while Ché is easy-going and free spirited. Some of our favorite hobbies are watching movies, listening to music, spontaneous dance parties (where we feel like dancing together to a random song on the radio), hanging out with family and friends, trying new places to eat out at and taking trips. We can’t wait to take our future little one on trips all over the US and the world. We love to experience new cultures, and we are both adventurous when it comes to food. The thought of new adventures and experiences with a new little one leaves us joyful.
How did we reach the decision to adopt? Ché has wanted to adopt ever since she was 19 years old. It was only in her mid 20’s that a doctor told Ché that having biological children might not be a possibility for her. After we got married, we were unsuccessful at getting pregnant. We tried for about a year and a half to get pregnant. We even went through the process of fertility treatments. After a series of unsuccessful attempts and a surgery that left us unable to have children, we knew that God was leading us down the path of becoming parents through adoption.
We are very excited for this child to meet our family of 3! In June of 2018, God gave us the most precious gift of our daughter Juliet through adoption. She is so spunky and fun. She loves to dance and sing. She is such a people person and absolutely adores other kids. We’ve been able to take her on so many adventures and have many more planed this year. We would love to be a family of 4. It’s our dream that Juliet has a sibling to love, play and grow up with. Brian and I both grew up with siblings and couldn’t imagine our lives without those precious memories. Our family is very large. So if you choose us our child will have so many young cousins to play with. Ché has two younger sisters. Her middle sister has four daughters under 12 years old, and her youngest sister has three daughters and a son under 13 years old. Brian comes from a blended family with six nephews and two nieces. So many people, including our close friends and neighbors, will love this child. Currently, we live in a neighborhood that is a part of a semi-rural area. It is a fairly new housing addition with lots of young children that often play outside and families that spend time walking around the neighborhood together in the evenings. We have formed strong friendships with several of our neighbors who are all excited to meet our new baby. They often ask about you, as well as pray for you and this child.
Brian is a consultant for an information security company, so he helps organizations protect their computers and networks from hackers. His hours are quite flexible, and he often works from home. Occasionally, he travels to meet clients face-to-face. There are times when we travel together for the business trips. Ché is a dental hygienist and works very limited days. Mostly she is a stay at home Mom. We love the flexibility, because it allows us to spend more time together as a family under the same roof. We both truly love and are passionate about what we do; and are very grateful for having wonderful bosses who also pray for you and this sweet baby you are carrying.
We want you to know that good morals and values are very important to us. We want to teach our children to be loving, respectful, live a life of integrity and to be consistent. It is important that they are kind, generous, honest, and learn to be selfless when others are in need. We hope to teach them the importance of education and create a culture of learning that is fun and engaging. We will want them to know they are capable of accomplishing anything they put their mind to if they work hard. We will want them to know that Jesus loves them, we love them and you love them.
We also want you to know that we hope to have a relationship with you if and when you are ready. It’s important to us that our child knows you and the sacrifice you have made for them in love. You will always have a very special place in our hearts. As we grow on this journey together, we hope that you will think of us as family. We hope to share many memories together. Just know our child will grow up always knowing who you are and how much you love them. We will talk about you, have pictures of you and pray for you as a family. Additionally, know that you are loved, and your life has purpose and meaning.
We hope you know how truly grateful we are. It would be such a blessing to raise this child you are carrying. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and thank you for choosing life for this child. Thank you for your strength and courage. And thank you so much for considering us as parents. We pray that God meets all your needs during this time. We can’t wait to meet you, and walk this journey with you!
