Dear Expecting Mom,

Thank you so much for making the choice of adoption. We know that there are other choices besides adoption. We imagine that this is a difficult time, and decision, for you.

We are Joshua and Elizabeth. We chose adoption because of infertility. Adoption is something that Elizabeth knew she wanted to do since a young age. Her father and two of her cousins are adopted. Joshua’s second cousin is adopted.

Joshua remodels homes. He really enjoys constructing things with his hands, restoring old things, and figuring out how to build something new. He is a great problem solver, leader, and patient man. Joshua enjoys nature, hunting, woodworking, gardening, playing with our dogs, and watching TV.

Elizabeth is a Kindergarten teacher. She greatly enjoys working with little kids. She finds the inner workings of the brain of a child, and its development, fascinating. She is very caring and loving. She will do anything to help her family and friends. Elizabeth likes to read Young Adult Fiction, watch dramas on TV and Netflix, paint, sew, and enjoys other various crafts.

We have been married for 8 years. We met in Sunday School. We dated for a few years because we believe that marriage is a lifelong commitment. We did not take the decision to marry lightly. We both are Christians and we believe that God is the center of everything and we look to him for guidance in how to live our lives. We like to travel, particularly to places located within the forest. Some of the places we have traveled are Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. We love spending time with our families. We like to converse with each other, no really! We talk about a wide range of topics. Including, but not limited to, our day, theology, and pop culture. We have two dogs. Cooper is a Black-Mouth-Cur (a Southern hunting dog), and Fletcher is a mutt. They are both very affectionate and love kids.

We attend a Reformed Presbyterian church. We host a weekly Bible Study in our home. Elizabeth teaches crafts each summer at Vacation Bible School. Joshua helps with the upkeep of the church and helps lead a group of men that get together to do manly things.

Once again thank you for choosing adoption and for your consideration of us as adoptive parents.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace.
