Love to Baby Momma and Papa,

Joy and excitement are the emotions we are experiencing as you read this letter and consider placing your child with us through adoption. We have always known we wanted to expand our family though adoption, as it is a beautiful picture of how God cares and loves us. We want you to know how proud we are of you and how deeply we care about you, but we also recognize the confusion and sadness you are probably experiencing. Although we have not met yet, we know that you are a strong, loving, and caring individual who has such an amazing life ahead of you.

Peace is our prayer for you over the next several months. As followers of Jesus, we have been praying for you and will continue to do so for the rest of our lives. We specifically have been hoping that you are at peace with everything that has been going on while choosing the family you are going to place with. We pray for your physical, emotional, and mental health during these times.

Patience, Gentleness, and Self-Control are a few of our family values. We are Kyle and Megan and were born and raised in Oklahoma. Kyle really enjoys being a husband, father, mediocre golfer, and a fan of both the OU Sooners and OKC Thunder. Megan love taking photos, volunteering with the school, working on projects around the house, and has a love/hate relationship with the gym. She now spends her time as a stay at home mom and is planning on doing so until all of our children are in school. Our biological daughter Raegan (6) wants to be the first actress/ballerina/scientist/YouTube star and her personality shows it! She has never met a stranger, loves making home videos, and spending time with all of her grandparents who live nearby. She has been asking for a couple years when she will be a big sister and is really excited about a brother or sister for her to love on and play with. As a family, we enjoy playing games together, scrolling Netflix, watching Raegan’s soccer games, spending time with our friends, and serving in our church. Our favorite time of the year is Christmas, when we bake loads of cookies, sing Christmas carols, watch Lifetime movies, and spend time with all of our aunts, uncles, and cousins. While no family is perfect, we really enjoy our lives and work hard to have a comfortable home.

Kindness is one of Megan’s best attributes. Kyle is kind of funny and works really hard to provide for our family. We met during our Junior year of High School and started dating soon after in the summer of 2002. After graduating, Megan attended the University of Central Oklahoma to pursue photography, but ended up getting her degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught Kindergarten and First Grade for several years, before Raegan was born. In 2003, we decided to date “long-distance” as Kyle attended Oklahoma Baptist University and finished his degree in International Business. We were married in Broken Arrow in 2006, only after we had convinced our parents that we had saved up enough money to support ourselves. After college, Kyle worked for a large company and was fortunate enough to be promoted several times during a few years. We moved our family from Oklahoma City, to Olive Branch, Mississippi, to Santa Rosa, California, and then back to Tulsa. This past summer, Kyle started a business that works with churches on running the “business side” of the church. It has been challenging, but we are starting to help enough churches that we should be able to do this for a long time. We love getting to experience new adventures as a family and have been blessed to visit Indonesia, Disneyland, New York City, Washington DC, and hopefully Hawaii soon.

Goodness is one of the best qualities we hope to install into your birth child. Recently we read a quote that said “Goodness is about character – integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.” Every person, regardless of their gender, disability, ethnicity, or upbringing, should desire to live a life driven by serving other people. While we would love for our children to be a President or Astronaut, it wouldn’t matter if other people did not enjoy being around them. While we have goals for all of children, including college and success in their lives, we would choose a life of love and goodness over material prosperity. Our promise to you is to raise a good child who deeply loves other people.

Faithfulness is our commitment to you. As we have always wanted to pursue an open adoption, we are dedicated to communicating with you and setting up visits as you want and need. We feel it is important for our children to know their birth parents and have a healthy relationship with you, including monthly email updates, scheduled visits every few months, and sharing special moments as you need them. We want to pretty flexible with your requests and will work to figure out the details. When your child enters our lives, we know that our family will be changed forever for the better.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23

You are unbelievable and we can’t wait to meet you soon!

Kyle and Megan
